EMDR Training September 2026 to February 2027

This EMDR Training aims to

Facilitate trainees to learn the principles and practices of EMDR therapy and to become proficient in their use
Prepare trainees to integrate EMDR therapy into their clinical practice

Towards these ends, the training will include a combination of interactive theoretical input, demonstration, skills practice, supervision and case consultation.

Training Schedule

The training will be delivered in 3 modules as follows:

Module 1: 2.5 training days: September 28, 2026, 14.00 to 18.00; September 29 and 30, 2026, 9.00 to 17.00.

Practicum, Supervision, and integration session – Thursday October 15, 2026, 14.00 to 18.00.

Supervision and integration session – Thursday November 5, 2026, 14.00 to 18.00.

Module 2: 2 training days: November 16 and 17, 2026, 9.00 to 17.00.

Supervision and integration session – Thursday December 10, 2026, 14.00 to 18.00.

Module 3: 2 training days: January 11 and 12, 2027, 9.00 to 17.00.

Supervision and integration session – Thursday February 4, 2027, 14.00 to 18.00.

The training will be delivered online, using the Zoom platform

Course Fee

Booking deposit – (to reserve your place on the course) €150.00 (non-refundable).

This is payable in response to a letter of offer which you will receive to confirm your place on the training.

Part 1 – (due six weeks before part 1 begins) €400.00

Part 2 – (due six weeks before part 2 begins) €400.00

Part 3 – (due six weeks before part 3 begins) €400.00

Total – €1350.00 (including booking deposit)

(The booking deposit portion of this payment (€150 non-refundable) is due in response to a letter of offer which you will receive to confirm your place. Remainder (€1065.00) is due six weeks before the training begins)

Payment
Everybody is required to pay the non-refundable booking deposit of €150.00 to secure your place. This is payable in response to a letter of offer which you will receive to confirm your place on the training. If you are electing to pay in three instalments, the first payment is due six weeks before the training begins. Payments for parts two and three are due six weeks before each part begins. If you are electing to pay in full to obtain a discount, your full fee is payable six weeks before the training begins.

If you asked us to invoice a funding body, and you provided the details we need, we will issue the invoice when you accept your place in response to your letter of offer.

Cancellation
If you cancel (must be by post or email) between six and eight weeks before the training, an 80% refund can be made. Cancelling between four and six weeks before the training entitles you to a 50% refund.

No refund is due if you cancel less than four weeks prior to the training. Non-attendance without notification forfeits the fee.

In the unlikely event of training being cancelled, a full refund will be given, or alternative dates arranged.

Your Trainer

Gus Murray is an EMDR Europe Accredited Senior Trainer and Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in the use of EMDR therapy. Gus is a highly experienced Counselling and Psychotherapy trainer has been the programme director and lead trainer at the Cork Institute of Technology for over 25 years. He is widely recognised for his capable, dynamic and interactive training style which is endorsed by repeated feedback from participants.

Gus was the recipient of the Carl Berkeley memorial award (2017) from the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of the counselling and psychotherapy profession.

Gus was founding president of the EMDR All-Ireland association. He has presented at EMDR conferences and events throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe. Gus has over 25 years’ experience as a mental health clinician and trainer.
