EMDR Therapy Training Cork 2019

This EMDR Training aims to

  1. Facilitate trainees to learn the principles and practices of EMDR therapy and to become proficient in their use
  2. Prepare trainees to integrate EMDR therapy into their clinical practice

Towards these ends, the training will include a combination of interactive theoretical input, demonstration, skills practise, supervision and case consultation.

Training Schedule

The training will take place in three modules of 2.5 days each – Friday 5.30 to 9.30; Saturday and Sunday, 9.00 to 5.00. The dates for 2019 are January 25th to 27th; May 24th to 26th; September 6th to 8th. In conjunction with the main training modules, trainees will receive 12 hours of supervision, case consultation and integration. These will take place during the training as well as in scheduled sessions between modules one and two and modules two and three. One final review and integration session will be scheduled after module three.


The training will be delivered by EMDR Europe Accredited Trainer Gus Murray in conjunction with a team of facilitators.

This training will satisfy the training requirements to enable participants to seek professional accreditation as an EMDR practitioner.

Course Fee

The cost of the full training (including Supervision/Consultation) will be €995.00 which will be payable in three instalments.

Your Trainer

Gus Murray M.Sc. (Psych.), M.HRD is an EMDR Europe Accredited Trainer and Consultant with almost 25 years’ experience in the use of EMDR therapy.

Gus is a highly experienced Counselling and Psychotherapy trainer having been Programme Director and Lead Trainer at the Cork Institute of Technology for over 25 years. He is widely recognised for his capable, dynamic and interactive training style which is endorsed by repeated feedback from participants. He holds a Master’s degree (M.HRD) in Training and Development.
